Blog # 10
At this point in the semester I have learned a lot of new things in this class. The things that I have learned will help me a lot and have already helped me in some cases. The different things that I learned that I plan on using in the future is the writing a really bad first draft to help me get my different ideas out on the table and up for discussion. The rainbow cards of ideas is also one that I enjoy and feel like it helps me get started on the paper at hand. The same things that I like will be what I use on other papers even papers that are not in my English class. The same things apply to other papers when writing them that do on the English papers. Although I didn’t say it before I also liked the typing for however long without stopping letting all my ideas go at once and not stopping for anything, this is something also that will let me get something down when I can’t think of nothing else. One thing that I have learned that I want be forgetting anytime soon is the article that we just read about the shitty first draft, I don’t really know why but it hit me and stuck with me like that whole article was me in so many ways and it does always take me a bad page or so before I can really get to writing. I have changed as a writer in that I now plan more and go over my paper and revise a lot better than I used to.

I like the rainbow card idea too. I thought that it helped me organize my ideas in a visual way. I agree that this class has helped many of us plan and revise more, even if it is because we are forced to; either way they are good habits to learn.

I liked the freewriting as well because it helped me get my different ideas out on paper so then I can organize them. I have to disagree with you and stephenie though because I didn't like the rainbow card idea because my brain doesn't work that way. Plus, I had my ideas organized already, so I just saw it as a waste of time.
